Aura is a colorful, sensuous and ethereal landscape by Wolf Kahn, who is one of the most important colorist working in America today. Using nature as the starting point, Kahn's art encompasses both pictorial landscape and painterly abstraction. Converging color and light to create atmospheric and sensual vivid fields, his paintings evoke the eternal world of nature.

Born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1927, Wolf Kahn immigrated to the US in 1940 where he studied under abstract expressionist Hans Hoffman, becoming Hoffman's studio assistant. He completed his baccalaureate degree at the University of Chicago in one year. He has received numerous scholarships and fellowships and has painted landscapes in diverse locales all over the world.

Mr. Kahn regularly exhibits at the finest galleries and museums across North America including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the Los Angeles County Museum.
